YISHUN AVE 6
Project type
Residential - HDB / Residential - Apartment
Location
Yishun Avenue
Clarissa brings minimalist discipline to Yishun Avenue through strategic design decisions that prioritize visual calm over conventional functionality displays. The living area achieves near-emptiness through a combination of restraint and clever planning: a single modular sofa in neutral beige provides flexible seating, while all other living room elements, entertainment systems, storage, books, disappear behind a continuous wall of white cabinetry with integrated TV panel. The dining zone features a scandinavian-style table in light wood with white chairs, positioned to maximize the sense of space rather than to accommodate large gatherings. Color throughout is severely limited: white walls, white ceilings, pale gray flooring, with natural wood accents providing the only warmth. The kitchen embodies minimalist efficiency with a galley layout where every appliance integrates seamlessly, every cabinet operates via touch-latch, and countertops remain empty except during active meal preparation. Lighting design is intentionally understated, recessed fixtures provide general illumination without becoming features themselves. The master bedroom continues the spare aesthetic: a simple bed frame in white, matching white bedding, built-in wardrobes flush with walls, and one small bedside table. Window treatments are minimal white roller blinds that disappear when raised. No art, no photographs, no decorative objects break the visual quiet. This is minimalism for those who find clutter physically uncomfortable, a home that requires almost nothing to maintain because there's almost nothing there to begin with.
